Title: Ringo's Roadside Attraction?
Post by: tkitna on July 26, 2005, 09:51:22 AM
Help me out. Who are these players? This was mentioned somewhere else and it got me searching.

Push-a-lone, lead guitar
Git-tar, rhythm guitar
Diesel, bass

I never knew who the actual players were. It could be a combination of several different musicians or just some individuals that Vini Poncia may have brought in. If anybody knows, give a shout.

I looked for it, but couldn't find it. If you find out, I'm curious as well...

Toppings does know. It appears that they were Dee Murray (Elton John bassist for awhile), Keith Allison (former guitar player for Paul Revere & The Raiders), and Lon Van Eaton (who recorded with his brother, Derrek, under Apple along with playing on some of Ringos solo efforts). Pretty neat.

Heres an interview with Lon.
