I was just listening to a rehearsal take of Goodnight on some bootleg or other and wondered who played the piano part - I knew that it wasn't one of The Beatles since Ringo is the only Beatle to feature on the track.
I looked it up on Wikipedia and it says it is George Martin - which is fair enough - but it also says that he plays a Celeste and not a conventional piano.

Well, I thought a celeste is that lovely sound you hear on Dance of The Sugar Plum Fairy ...

... but Goodnight sounds like a conventional piano to me.
Is it a simple mistake on Wikipedia (I know there are many ;) ) or is it really some sort of celeste on that track?

I seem to remember reading somewhere that it was a celeste. I'll have to listen later.

Nothing to stop Sir George from dubbing the celeste. I don't hear it unless it's buried in the orchestration.
