. . .  Also, O.A.R. frontman Marc Roberge talks about how Lennon’s death inspired the alternative rock band’s recent song “Dakota.” . .

way to promote your band, buddy
newsflash-> talking about how lennon inspired YOUR song isn't paying tribute.......it's................... talking about yourself

yea, that's what it is..... john lennon's legend lives on in oar's song dakota . .
-
never heard of this band.. did a google search
they played the theme for ABC's Extreme Home Makeover and then performed the song curbside on that show
they have their music tied into NASCAR, ESPN FoxSports and the film Twilight's deluxe edition soundtrack
also, they are featured in Ford auto commericials
-
i guess whoever manages these guys really knows how to make deals
the lennon death special..... these guys have a song named dakota........ a match made in heaven
CNN always has some thinly veiled cross-promotional showbiz b.s. going on
-------------------------------------------

i guess this is the point of PBS. the American Masters special the other week did NOT feature the Jonas Brothers version of Hello Goodbye or an interview with Rhianna explaining how the Beatles inspired her new album . . .
(just my opinion)

Julian talks about fathers death as 30th anniversary approachs
December 3rd 2010
John Lennon's first son Julian sat down with CNN recently to talk about his father's untimely death, and how it's affected him.
This Wednesday, December 8,2010 will mark the 30th anniversary of the day Murderous cowardly scumbag ( My name for him) shot the famous Beatle, and his recent bid for parole has made headlines. While his bid was denied this time, it remains unclear whether or not he will one day be released from prison. Julian talks about that possibility, and many other subjects surrounding his father's death in the video below.
