Title: Wingspan 2
Post by: on July 07, 2005, 05:03:35 AM
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to create a 40 song compendium of Macca's tunes from 1985 to 2005. Go.

Just tell us, if you would be so kind, what the point of this would be.

I'll have to strain my brain for 40 great songs from those years.

There's NOT going to be a Wingspan II anytime soon but I do expect another McCartney compilation after the live album for his 04/05 European/American tours.

Um, there's a reason why Wingspan didn't have tracks from Flowers In The Dirt, Off The Ground, Press To Play, etc.............lol

Right, they weren't Wings albums.  There's some great stuff on those 3, though I have to say 'Press to Play' is the weakest of the lot.

But McCartney, Ram, McCartney II, Tug Of War, Pipes Of Peace and Give My Regards To Broad Street weren't Wings albums either. I have had a go at a tracklist, maybe 1 or 2 more albums down the line we'll see something similar.

I'll go with the "smart" part, certainly. Better than a dumb arse any day. ;D

But STILL you have not given us the benefit of your "40 song compendium"

Ok, it's a hard job to do, 'cause 40 good tunes between '85 til today, puh..........
But anyway, I'll try to find them, but I need a day or two, you'll find it here later.

OK, here's my list now, but I have to admit, there are only 24 tracks, it's just a single CD album, I couldn't get 40 tracks for an best of macca between '85 to today, Paul's creative output is truely ok for his age, but not enough to collect a 40 piece "best of", I can't get more than 24, so take it or leave it.

I call that CD "Maccapan", so here it is, enjoy my choice or hate it, it's up to you :
