Beatles spied on by FBI

THE Beatles and Michael Jackson were spied on by the FBI - in case they rocked national security.Files declassified yesterday show US agents also took an interest in a host of other stars, including stadium band Kiss.A dossier was opened on crooner Frank Sinatra over Mafia pals and alleged communist leanings. Squeaky-clean John Denver was also suspected of Mob links.

I can see Sinatra because his mob affiliation was just a fact but John Denver? He liked to smoke pot but surely that isn't a matter of national security. C'mon! And Col. Sanders? Good grief! As for John and Yoko posing nude, I can't imagine how that would warrant 200 pages or even a sentence but they always had it in for John. When they are doing all this stupid stuff they are taking away from staying on top of actual threats.
