Here's My List:

1. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
2. Revolver
3. Rubber Soul
4. Please Please Me
5. Abbey Road
6. The Beatles (White Album)
7. Help!
8. Let It Be
9. A Hard Day's Night
10. Beatles For Sale
11. With The Beatles
12. Yellow Submarine

If it counted, I would put Magical Mystery Tour between Rubber Soul and Please Please Me

"Abbey Road" is my favorite Beatles album.  I can't put the rest in order, however...  I keep changing my mind so it'll make my brain hurt.   :P

1. Rubber Soul/Revolver (Can't choose)
3. Magical Mystery Tour
4. Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band
5. Help
6. White Album
7. Abbey Road
8. Let It Be(I like the Naked version more though)
9. Please Please Me
10. Yellow Submarine
11. With The Beatles
12. A Hard Days Night
13. Beatles For Sale
Excellent list. I can tell by reading it we have similar tastes in Beatles music. Here's mine:

  1.) Revolver
  2.) SPLHCB
  3.) Rubber Soul
  4.) White Album
  5.) Let It Be
  6.) Abbey Road
  7.) Help!
  8.) Please Please Me
  9.) With The Beatles
10.) Yellow Submarine
11.) A Hard Day's Night
12.) Beatles For Sale

When I look at this list, I see that I have Abbey Road as number 6, and that just doesn't sound humane. If Abbey Road were an album by any other band, it would be the number one album by that band for me, no question. It just shows how deep the Beatles catalogue is.

1. Revolver - experimental but concise, with 'Tomorrow Never Knows' being a case in point: so much sonic weirdness and brain-warping innovation packed into a three minute pop song. Utter genius.

2. Sgt Peppers - if only because of 'A Day in the Life'. Weaker songs than Revolver, but perhaps a greater 'spirit'. Would've been stronger if 'Strawberry Fields' and 'Penny Lane' had been included as originally intended. Must have sounded like the Second Coming if listened to in 1967 under the influence of dangerously strong psychotropic drugs.

Also contains Paul's best track (She's Leaving Home, obviously).

3. The White Album - How can anyone not like four sides of prime-Beatles? Lot's of filler (hands up who has listened to Revolution #9 more than twice?), but it has to be the most stylistically diverse album in popular music history.

It's quite strange that it has George at his best (Long Long Long Long Long Long etc) and worst (Piggies) and John at his best (Happiness is a Warm Gun) and worst (Bungalow Bill).

On the plus side, Back in the USSR rocks like a motherb*tch. Yer Blues too.

4. Rubber Soul - would be higher if I smoked weed, probably. A very 'John' album (Norwegian Wood, Girl and In My Life must have been the most emotionally complex songs ever made at that time), but Paul's bass playing is so good that it almost makes up for his entire post-Beatles solo output. Almost.

5. A Hard Days Night - scouse rock at it's finest.

6. Abbey Road - far too shiny. A triumph of artifice over art, in my opinion. Still better than just about anything else in the whole world, though.

7. Please Please Me - still sounds fresher than packet of Curiously Strong Mints after all these years. Tinny.

8. Yellow Submarine - if only because of I Am the Walrus.

9. Beatles for Sale - Maybe a little too country-fied? John sounds like he is nearly ready to take the Kurt Cobain escape route throughout.

10. Help! - Ticket to Ride and Help save it. Just.

Yesterday is quite a nice little ditty, too.

11. With The Beatles - the cover versions kick ass, but there are too many of them. Money sounds like punk-rock never needed to happen.

12. Let it Be - Phil Spector was a murderer waaaay before he shot that poor actress in the head a few years ago.

This is hard, but I'm going to post having not read the others', because I'm trying to keep it pure! Than I'll see what you guys said.

1. Revolver-- definitely. Some killer rock on this one, just hugely sophisticated.
2. With the Beatles-- totally a masterpiece of danceable, killer rock & roll.
3. White Album-- it probably doesn't actually belong way up here, but I know I listen to it a lot.
4. A Hard Day's Night-- see With the Beatles
5. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
6. Rubber Soul
7. Help
8. Beatles for Sale
9. Please Please Me
10. Abbey Road-- This is probably an unpopular one to have so low, but I think that, while slick, it's sort of uneven. (dodges thrown eggs)
11. Magical Mystery Tour
12. Let It Be
12. Yellow Submarine

That was super-difficult-- I'll probably have new ideas tomorrow....

Hi there, first time poster here, I thought this was easily the best subject for my first post.  Here we go:

1. Abbey Road
2. The Beatles
3. Revolver
4. Please Please Me
5. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
6. Beatles For Sale
7. Rubber Soul
8. A Hard Day's Night
9. Help!
10. Magical Mystery Tour
11. Let It Be
12. With The Beatles
13. Yellow Submarine

YS is definitely last, as with most people, but I almost put WTB down there.  For some reason, it just never clicked with me, not sure why.  Classic album cover, though.  And yes, I am the guy who puts BFS in the top 6, I really like it.  Reading this thread, not many do, but I think it holds up really well from top to bottom, and No Reply is one of my all-time favorites.  Anyway, just thought I'd add my thoughts, see you around the boards.

Incredibly difficult for me to do this, but I'll give it a shot.

1.  Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Easy first for me.  This whole album means so much to me, as it tells an all-encompassing story.  All Beatles albums are incredibly true, but this one takes first for me.  If you would like to read my interpretation of what this album means, let me know.  Bobber mentioned that you typically are not interested in those kinds of things.)
2.  Let It Be (Lyrically, Dig a Pony is my favorite Beatles song.  This album is my favorite album to play in the car.)
3.  With the Beatles (Out of the earlier albums, this is my favorite.  The lyrics are so true.  The only song I don't care for is Money.)
4.  Revolver (Amazing, complex musical album.  I love to play/sing I'm Only Sleeping on the guitar.)
5.  Magical Mystery Tour (I'm counting this as an album, regardless of what you 'technical' people say.  The songs on this album flow very well, almost as well as Sgt. Peppers.)
6.  Help (I love this album, and the movie.)
7.  Abbey Road (Best closing sequence to any album, all time.)
8.  Rubber Soul
9.  A Hard Days Night
10. Please Please Me
11. Beatles For Sale
12. The White album (This album is incredible, but I ranked it low because there are several songs that I really do not enjoy listening to in any situation.)
13. Yellow Submarine

Agghh, it's so hard to hit post because I love every album!  For the spirit of this thread, I must do it!

Nothing 'technical' about it at all. It just wasn't a Beatles officially sanctioned album. You should either do the American releases or the UK ones.

I should do what I want to do.  Thanks for the technical advice though.  ;)

Because generally the point of such lists is for folk to show their appreciation of albums in which the Beatles themselves had some say in, not the creations of mostly jolly record company execs or compilations.
Otherwise people would make lists like
1: Blue Album
2. Red Album
3. 1
4. Greatest Hits
5. Hey jude
6. Magical Mystery Tour etc etc...
