Sure. I can ask him. But I doubt if he will come back. I think Paul got too fed up with having to deal with 'cleaning up the forums' and the little respect he felt he got for his moderating. There was of course the crash in the Singles Thread, but I'm not sure why he deleted his account altogether. He didn't leave a note.

....is the most eloquent and erudite example of moderating I have ever seen in this Forum.  In those few sentences, he made profound commentary and garnered my deep respect.  And, I'm sure, the respect of others who read it.

It's his choice. If he felt so strongly about some internet argument that he had to delete his account instead of taking a break, then what can you do. This should be a place for everybody and we're not all going to post in the same way, express ourselves in the same way, or get along all the time. Sometimes that proves too much for some people.

I do hope he reconsiders though cuz it's like losing a friend in a way, but apparently he didn't feel the same.

I counted Paul as a friend and if he's gone I'll miss him.
I'm not sure though that he acted his best in this little episode.
Being on this forum means accepting that not everyone will talk about what you want to, how you want to. I don't think Paul should have reacted the way he did.
I hope he comes back. Us oldies are thinning out.
