As we reported on Nov. 23, Ringo Starr will have a new album in January on Hip-O Select Records called "Ringo 2012." It will be released Jan. 31 in the U.S. (not Jan. 24 as previously reported) and Jan. 30 internationally.

Those guesting on the album with the former Beatle will be Michael Bradford, Ann Marie Calhoun, Matt Cartsonis, Steve Dudas, Charlie Haden, Amy Keys, Kelly Moneymaker, Richard Page, Van Dyke Parks, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Dave Stewart, Bruce Sugar, Benmont Tench, Joe Walsh , Don Was and Edgar Winter.

Here's the track list:

Of the nine tracks two are covers -- "Think It Over"** (which was Ringo's contribution to the "Listen To Me: Buddy Holly" tribute CD) and "Rock Island Line" -- and two are new versions of his own songs -- "Wings" *** (from "Ringo the 4th") and "Step Lightly"* (from the "Ringo" album).

The album will be released on CD, vinyl and in digital form.

Just had to comment on the new album.

I just downloaded it, and it is on it's third spin. Absolutely brilliant record! Ringo strikes again!

I thought Y Not was good, but this is something else entirely. Miles better!

I've only heard Wings and Samba and I love the way that Samba sounds!"One step forward and two steps back, the crowd will roar and bones will crack" - I've listened to this song so many times,I love the way Ringo's voice sounds and also the background sounds awesome.

Finally got this and listened to it today. I like it. Ringo's drumming is in top form and not one song was offensive to me. Another winner from Ritchie.
