Beatle Stuff In 2010
« on: December 30, 2009, 07:48:41 PM »

Last year has been pretty good for us Beatlesfans. Some crap too, but that's probably part of the deal.
What do you think will be released in 2010 or what would you like to see most?

Yeah I agree with this one! It would be so awesome if they did. And added extra footage from Let It Be.  ;)

What a great question, Bobber!! :)

Chances are slim, but...

I'd like to see the official DVD release of "Let It Be" and a re-release of "Yellow Submarine." Also, a cleaned-up DVD version of "Magical Mystery Tour" and full footage of the Beatles' performance at Shea Stadium would be nice.

I'd like to see "Carnival of Light" out on CD/mp3 along with the reworked version of "Now and Then" (which was meant for the "Anthology" series but was scrapped, as I understand). A CD release of the Beatles' Christmas recordings would be good too so I can finally stop listening to them on YouTube. ha2ha

A bit of a tangent:

I'd like to see Paul release his "Hot Hits, Cold Cuts" set...also "Rockshow" in its entirety on DVD (cleaned-up, obviously--I know JMF would agree with me here). Plus, he needs to expand on his "McCartney Years" DVD collection--it's a very good set, but just incomplete. He has so many other good videos and film footage that he ought to put out.

Okay, you can ignore me now.  :-[ ha2ha

Randy, I have bootleg outtake footage from the LIB sessions on VHS. The visuals and audio are pretty bad, but if you're a total Beatle freak, you'll sit through everything with sparkling eyes and baited breath.  ;) ha2ha We're all nuts. LOL.

They were offered here for years in mp3 format. Need an update?

As I'm having a short break from work now, I haven't access to them till Monday. I will upload them in the bootleg section. That's one thing of your wishlist of 2010 gone. Anything else? lol

Oh gosh really? How did you get this Magical VHS tape? That sounds so enticing!  ;)
I think I've probably seen some of it on Youtube by now. But to have it on my own VHS sounds great!

I also like your idea of having the Christmas albums on cd, that would be great!

Thanks, Bobber! Take your time.

As for anything else.... Well....we all know what I REALLY want...but I won't venture into that territory here. LOL. ;)

I got the "magical" LIB outtakes VHS many years ago when I first started dating my husband. He knew I was a Beatlemaniac, so he went on eBay and bought me some bootleg Beatles videos as a surprise. I think I married the right man. ;) Anyway, it's been many years since, and I wonder if eBay has gotten much stricter about selling bootlegs.

I think you did marry the right guy!  ;) Where can I find one like that?  ha2ha
I'll bet they have become stricter about it now. I'm not sure, but most likely.

I'd like to have a full footage of the Shea Stadium performance. (With the screams of the fans muted down a bit!)

This is true. Rockshow would make me happy.

Yes PLEASE!

I'd like to see the Beatles rights go to Paul or even someone else who acually was THERE during their time. (I.E. Apple-esqe people) I mean what's Michael Jackson's kid gonna do with them?!

What a great way to end the year that would be! I would be pretty happy.

I also agree about somebody getting the rights back. That whole affair will never cease to infuriate me. ><;

I would also like to see Mr. Starkey tour in my citttyyy because it would nice not to have to drive all the way to Los Angelessss...

MMT film would be nice to have all cleaned up and sounding great and Rockshow from Paul would be cool and John's last songs on CD minus Yoko would also be nice this year , they could call it Single Fantasy  ;)
