-
what! thas bollocks
-
haha, I know, I think I read that somewhere.
Its a sad fact of life.
-
even so ... the is NO comparison between those 2 ....the difference is that, wot has the spice girls done for music ? and look wot the Beatles did for music ... they CHANGED IT ! enough said i think lol
-
. . .
No. Way. :O
Dude...no. Um, i'm going to put this out of my mind. I'm getting flashbacks of the nineties and being forced to learn these songs. It hurts me so, lol.
-
You were forced to learn those songs? well, I actually liked them way back when. *shame shame*
But I've come to my senses now.
-
^ haha, well, at least your honest.
Cant say I was into music when I was little....I ws brainwashed by the Snes.
-
The what?
-
hmm *shakes head*
-
I think they got more no.1's on the trot beginning from their first release in the UK.......5 or 6??....but then so did Westlife....It dos'nt take a lot of sales to get to No.1 these days anyway. It's all fixed by the major record labels anyway.
-
i completely agree. wtf? beat the freaking BEATLES??? how...i guess the slut factor had sumthing to do w/ it...

SnES, so much to love
-
No, the Spice Girls did not beat the Beatles in chart success... They did however TIE with the Beatles in the record of "Most Consecutive Christmas No.1 Singles - UK", which states both bands had three consecutive no. 1 Christmas Singles.
Besides that, the Beatles have beaten the Spice Girls in any other chart success record that I'm aware of.
(Duh!)
-
Wow, Christmas singles... that's such an accomplishment! ::)
-
The Spice Girls are not even remotely close to matching any sort of chart record the Beatles hold, except for the one already mentioned (a silly Christmas chart record).
Here`s a list of some of the Beatles UK Chart records (I compiled this about 2 years ago, so some of the figures, weeks etc. are slightly outdated):
Most UK #1 Albums

Hoo-ee! Well, I guess whoever wrote that book thing that I read must have been wrong. Thanks for clarifying.
-
i hope it isnt true
-
I knew Wolf would know :)
-
alright! The Beatles are way better :-D
-
but the spices were fun to look at.........
-
i wouldnt work urselfs up over this guys/girls....we all know that the spices dont even come close to being as good as the Beatles.. the spice girls were only a pretty faced manufactured pop faze...and one of the main reasons they had all that chart success is down to the record company buying all the records...in other words a FIX ! if bands wanna be classed as being as good as the beatles or even better then i suggest they start to write their own songs !!..... which i believe the spice girls didnt ...So wot if they matched or beat them in chart success... it means nothing ! at least with the beatles record sales they were GENUINE !
