I think your psychedelic collection sucks, there are tons of better psychedelic songs. I'll have to go for the rock collection, but if your psychedellic collection didn't suck i'll probably choose it. Love you to is missing, withinyou whithout you, savoy truffle, just to mention a few examples.

I like psychedelic tracks a bit more than rocky tracks

That was an extremely close call, but I went with the psychedelic.

I would be swayed to choose Rockers*, as I love the beat sound and structure that is characterised by their early inspiration.
Again, you have missed some great psychedelic-tipped songs out, but the ones that are mentioned are obviously the later period, when the beatles are at their most creative..and again I love that period.

I like them both for different reasons, thats why the Beatles are so well liked..appealing to all ages..and developing a diverse multitude of styles.

By all means tell me which Psychadelic songs I missed.  I like their psychadelic pieces, but I'm starting to get really confused as to WHAT Beatles songs are psychadelic :(

I tried naming all the ones I could :(

Also tell me which psychadelic pieces you don't appreciate as much from my list.  I'd love to hear your opinions.

What is psychedelic? This is a "shifty" term, but I think at the least (in the mid-late 60s) it was music that attempted to conjure up aspects of a "trip". Hence hypnotic drumming, swirling sounds, grand-theme lyrics (or, on the other hand very simple, child-like lyrics) and so on.

That's why many people would not class some of your songs as psychedelic, Frighty. Among the non-psych songs you've listed there: Glass Onion, Fool On The Hill, Good Morning Good Morning. Maybe even A Day In the Life ...!

But definite pysch songs you should have included: Love You To (as someone said above), Blue Jay Way, Flying, Baby You're A Rich Man, I'm Only Sleeping, Only A Northern Song, It's All Too Much, ....

Well, lets just use psychedelic as a term to group their later more developed concept songs.
Wouldnt you say that part of the psychedelic culture was the drug taking, the mind exploration, the change of status from the younger generation? .

Baby You're A Rich Man! How could I have forgotten thee?  >:( I was also thinking of Blue Jay Way, but since there's so many that thought the song dragged a bit, I decided to leave it out just in case it would unfairly drag that collection in the polls.

As far as the definition, yea, I admit that I was a bit nervous to post this because my facts on the definition of psychadelic music isn't really that straight.  I thought I had it down up there, but  :P.

Anymore examples of psychadelic songs, Maria, now that I'm grasping this "trip" idea?

Very tough call, but I love ALL of the Psychadelic songs and not all of the Rocker songs. It'll probably change by tomorrow though. :P

The Psychadelic Collection, tho the following are not very psychodelic:

1) Rain

5) Glass Onion
6) She Said She Said

9) Good Morning Good Morning

11) Fool On The Hill

And there are better rockers than:

 And Your Bird Can Sing

12) The Night Before
