Sunny Heights approved for demolition
« on: November 17, 2015, 03:41:43 PM »

I couldn't see any reference to this on here but I heard a few weeks ago Ringo's old home Sunny Heights has been approved for demolition. It's going to be flattened and redeveloped by a Russian.

I really feared this would happen and you have to wonder if Kenwood will be next which would be an even bigger shame. The Beatles often used Ringo's home as a place to meet up and socialise. We already lost George's old home Kinfauns and Tittenhurst.

As someone who's very interested in preservation and of course as a Beatles fan I find this sickening. Surely there must be someplace else for this person to build his place.

It was once home to Ringo Starr and John Lennon and even appeared in The Magical Mystery Tour – for decades Sunny Heights has been a place of pilgrimage for fans of The Beatles...
