Reporter ~ "Ringo, why do you wear two rings on each hand?"
Ringo ~ "Cause I can't fit them through my nose."

Reporter ~ "You and the snow came to Washington at the same time today. Wich do you think will have the greater impact?"
Ringo ~ "The snow. We're going tomorrow."

Reporter~ "What do you think of Beethoven?"
Ringo ~ "I love him, especially his poems."

Reporter ~ "What do you think your music does for these people?"
Ringo ~ "Well, it pleases them, I think. It must because they're buying it."

Question ~ "It's very brave to bring us the original Ringo Starr."
Paul ~ "Very brave, so brave."
John (to Ringo) ~ "I've seen your dad on TV, you know."
Ringo ~ "Oh yeah? What was he doing?"

Reporter: Were you worried about the oversized rough-necks who were trying to infiltrate the airport crowd on your arrival?
Ringo: That was us.

Reporter: Would you ever accept a girl in your group if she could sing, play an instrument, and wear the Beatle hair-cut?
Ringo: How tall is she?

Reporter: Do you like topless bathing suits?
Ringo: We've been wearing them for years.

"The trouble with keeping both feet firmly on the ground, is that you can never take your pants off"

"My nose isn't THAT big. I don't know what the big fuss is about...seriously!"

"So this is America. They must be out of their minds." (1964, when The Beatles arrived in America for the first time)

Q: Ringo, why do you wear two rings on each hand?
Ringo: Because I can't get them through my nose.

Q: Why do you think you get more fan mail than the other Beatles?
Ringo: I don't know. I suppose it's because more people write me.

Q: It's rumored that you have written some things for symphony orchestras.
(The Beatles laugh)
Ringo: I don't even write letters.

"It's so silly, anyway. Even if we have a photo with President Johnson, most people would say we're going steady!" (about tabloid rumors)

"My nose isn't THAT big. I don't know what the big fuss is about."

"I just love being married, you know, and I love my wife. I just want her to be there all the time when I'm there. It's marvelous, you know, 'cos we both belong to each other, and you can share everything. It's a great thing, being married." (about being a newlywed... read the interview this quote came from)

"We'd get in the car. I'd look over at John and say, 'Christ! Look at you... you're a bloody phenomenon!' and just laugh 'cause it was only him." (read the interview this came from)

"I like kids. I used to be one."

"Of course I'm ambitious. What's wrong with that? Otherwise you sleep all day."

"I'm not the creative one. I know that. If Rory Storm hadn't come along... and then The Beatles... I would have continued running around in teddyboy gangs. Today, well, I'd probably be a laborer. I'm glad I'm not, of course. It'll be nice to be a part of history. Some sort of history, anyway. What I'd like to be is in school history books and be read by kids." (about his place in history)

"When we first started, we were the nice, clean moptops and every mother's son, and everyone loved us. And then suddenly, you know, there's a few things that they don't understand. And they don't get... or don't like... and maybe it turns them off a little bit. It's just that we're men now. We're a bit older than those four lads that started out, and we've got a lot of things to do, you know. And you've got to do a few of them. It doesn't matter what people say. You can't live all your life by what other people want. We can't go on forever as four little clean moptops playing 'She Loves You.'"

"I'm the laziest Beatle. I'm quite happy to finish an album and go sit back. I can enjoy myself, just sitting back and playing with all the toys, and the kids and the wife... I enjoy playing with the wife."

"It was in my soul; I just wanted to be a drummer. I didn't want to be a guitarist. I didn't want to play bass. I wanted to be a drummer, and that's how it is. My grandparents played mandolin and guitar and gave me their instruments, and I just broke them. I had a harmonica; I dumped it. We had a piano; I walked on it. I just was not into any other instrument."

"It was magical. I mean, there were really some loving, caring moments between four people. A really amazing closeness, with four guys who really loved each other. It was pretty sensational."
