Allied Artists Pictures has announced that Arthur Allan Seidelman will direct the screenplay, “A Magical Mystery Tour,” written by Brooke Halpin and Frank Thurmond. "A Magical Mystery Tour" is the story of Trevor Hampton, and his delusional infatuation with The Beatles. While adopting a new Beatlemania identity, Trevor is driven to escape from a tumultuous relationship with his father. Trevor’s Beatle obsession rips apart his already dysfunctional family and derails his pursuit of true love. Will he ever end his 'magical mystery tour' and face reality?

Allied Artists' President, Robert Fitzpatrick, himself a former attorney for The Beatles, put the script in Seidelman’s hands. Having read it, Seidelman was anxious to throw his hat in the ring proclaiming, "I’m thrilled and excited to join the Magical Mystery Tour team. This is a delightfully original screenplay that I can't wait to bring to the screen." An award winning director with numerous credits to his name, Seidelman directed “The Sisters,” and “A Christmas Carol: The Musical.”

Principal photography on the movie is scheduled to begin in 2010 with a theatrical release later that year. For more info visit alliedartists.com/.

The history of Allied Artists is long, varied and legendary. Throughout the years, the Allied Artists brand has been associated with such classic motion pictures as "Papillon," starring Steve McQueen and Dustin Hoffman, "Cabaret," with Liza Minnelli and Joel Grey, "Tickle Me" starring Elvis Presley, and "The Man Who Would be King," starring Sean Connery, Michael Caine and Christopher Plummer, to name but a few.
