The Lives of John Lennon
(I didn't know any better!). I don't think I even finished it, actually, but moved straight on to what I consider my true first Beatles book:

I think if I remember right, my first Beatles book(s) (I got all three at once) were:
The Complete Beatles Chronicle by Mark Lewisohn
Blackbird: The Life And Times Of Paul McCartney by Geoffrey Giuliano
and
Shout! The Beatles in Their Generation by Philip Norman
