Billboard ranks the charts
Sales are calculated for the previous week, not total sales since the song was released. The tracking week for sales runs Monday to Sunday; the airplay tracking week runs Wednesday to Tuesday; a new Hot 100 chart is compiled and officially released by Billboard on Thursday.

That's impressive. What does billboard count now? Is it physical cd sales or does it include downloads etc. ?

As of Oct 15 th 2016 it dropped to # 30 as of Oct 22 2016 it at # 52 and sinking like a rock it been on the charts for 4 weeks They dont have staying power they used too

Not too surprising. Apparently it doesn't take a huge amount of sales now to boost a record up billboard. The trick is selling enough to maintain position for several weeks. To do that you'd need to attract beyond the normal hardcore fans.

They do great years after they broke up I don`t think any artist today can do that 46 years later Music is cheap and hallow and all flash they can show they can chart long after they are gone I was surprised they debut at #7 and go as High as # 4 It been on the charts only 4 weeks. everyone was hoping it would went to # 1 It could rebound it done that before in the rock era and the Billboard charts
