I think Paul has a better vocal range and can adapt to basically any kind of song. so I voted in favor of Paul
but on the other hand John's voice is very haunting and full of meaning. George and Ringo's voices both are warm and loving.

From the standpoint of who's voice I think is technically the best and has the most range...defintely Paul.  John's voice is nice for the emotion he puts in his vocals, but Paul has this one wrapped up.

Don't knock Ringo, I actually enjoy his voice quite well.  It has a nice lovable, warm feeling to it.  Perfectly suited for the songs he sang in the Beatles.  Don't forget some of the awesome songs he had solo.  I actually enjoyed his solo hits album yesterday.

....you don't mean that Photograph: Best Of Ringo Starr album by any chance? Coz that's exactly what I was listening to yesterday too! (bigeyes1) (grin) Love Ringo-songs! :)

By the way, sorry to bring up something that was said a year ago, but...

and his performance of Act Naturally on the Blackpool Night Out Live
in 1965 was very good.
.... I agree, and also, I love the little introduction that he does to it! (grin) (grin)

About the voices, as I said before - love 'em all! Each is special in its own way :)

That was the exact album I was listening to, Octie.  I love that album.  Great collection of his songs!

Look what Jeff Giles writes about Lennon`s voice: There`s always been a generation of baby-boomer fans, whose feelings for his imploring, serrated voice run so deep that it`s as if they grew up not just with him but because of him." Unique timbre.

I chose John because "A Day in the Life" goes right through my chest when I listen to it.

Paul's got a good voice, but it never did that to me.

Paul.  His voice reminds me of pumpkin pie...smooth and sweet but a bit spicy too.  And I do love pumpkin pie.  Mmmm.   :P

I love pumpkin pie!  :)

John, although Paul is really, really good, too. John's voice can be really soft and smooth, like in In My Life and in Girl, he has so much emotion in his voice. *sighs* Whereas, in songs like 'Money' and 'Twist and Shout' his voice is total rocker. Paul can do just the same, but I feel that John has more feeling in his singing, more emotion.

^  I think John is really good as an emotional singer.  I think I like him best when he is singing gentle love ballads because it turns into an emotional experience for me too.  In terms of vocals, I wonder if John is better at letting his guard down than Paul, who seems to be more self-aware (or self-conscious) as a performer.

Sigh.

Oh...and I wonder what kind of pie John would be?  Maybe something a bit tart?  ;)

Lemon pie! You know...Lennon, Lemon.. Okay, that's a really bad one. Pumpkin's taken, that's my favorite. Yeah, lemon actually fits.
No, Lemon Meringue! That's better.
'Love' makes me want to cry. I don't know why, it just does.
When I was thinking of pies for people, I coudn't stop thinking of 'mud pie'  ;D
