That's a point I wanted to mention. Most people think of just the slapstick with these guys, but there was a lot of clever and, yes, satirical stuff in there too. They deserve some reconsideration by the public.

If you want to know what was going on in the world back then all you do is watch The Stooges. They covered (spoofed!) it all! Polio, Lindberg baby, The Great Depression, Hitler, Tojo, prohibition, Quack Drs., gangsters, the list goes on...! Oh, and tassels! Didn't the Italian fascists wear tassels on their belts and the Spanish Fascists on their hats?! You had to tickle Curley's feet to bring him out of his rage!

Yikes, just got the insurance/medical statements for my son's well-child exam. The meningitis vaccine alone was $172. Luckily it was fully covered.

I had an infusion treatment last year.  Insurance sent me a statement for $16,000.  :o   But, yeah, they covered all of it.

Yeah, and those were just his face slaps.  There were also eye pokes, head conks, nose honks, and lots more acts of mayhem...

I've got a random thought.

If England stopped giving zillions of caps to players who routinely fail at International Football Tournaments (Beckham, Ferdinand, Cole, Terry, Lampard, Gerrard, Rooney) maybe they'll start doing well at International Football Tournaments.
