Dear oh dear.  I couldn’t get to the bass solo. He seems to manage to hit every note wrong. That’s almost an achievement in itself.

Never heard of the Finley chap to be honest.

Interesting reading the YT comments on the Africa clip - the actual singer replies to them saying the problem was the speaker monitors not his voice and explains he has had throat and voice makeovers etc. Not sure if he's legit but it sounds like he is.

Toto were all good musos. So it’d be nice to give him the benefit of the doubt. He was so resolutely off the note at all times I suppose it’s not impossible it was a technical issue.

Could be. Another issue with pop/rockmusicians getting older is the hearing. They have been in loud music so much, the hearing is often pretty bad. I bet Barry knows the Latin words for that.

Wow on the Bobby Kimball video.  I'm a big Toto fan and that was,,,,,,unfortunate.  Something was definitely wrong.  He kept drinking water at an almost alarming rate.  I originally thought he might be drunk, but I dont think thats the case.  He either had throat issues or just plain and simple doesnt have a voice anymore.  Not buying the technical issues.  Still should be able to sing somewhat.  Painful.

This video of Bob looks to be of a similar age. Even in the better conditions of a tv studio performance he’s still pretty off. Not quite as bad as the Africa clip but still having lots of pitch problems. Sad really. Either his ears have gone or he’s just lost all control.
