I wasn't aware the Beatles had covered Beautiful Dreamer. I just stumbled across it online. My mom used to love this song; I always disliked it, until I heard the Beatles' version, which I adore.
And unfortunately I've reached my unofficial quota of sending song links to my daughters for the week. I'll have to send them this in a couple of days. They've been surprisingly receptive (for Gen Z) to the stuff I've sent lately (viz., Walking in the Rain, Iko Iko). I have to be sure they continue to appreciate good music, after all.
