Looks like there will finally be official releases of the U.S. A Hard Day's Night, Yesterday and Today, Revolver and Hey Jude.
These are probably legit because the label Commerical Marketing is actually Universal, who recently bought EMI.
Plus Amazon doesn't do pre-orders for bootlegs.
There is nothing on the U.S. Amazon site yet.
Release date set for January 14, 2014.

That's good to hear, George. Thank-you.
I bought Volumes 1 and 2 years ago and wondered when they were going to get around to Volume 3.
-
But the label of the US version of A Hard Day's Night was United Artists, wasn't it?

Actually, Barry, all of them are being released individually. It would nice to know if the mastering is any different and what the packaging will look like, but there are no images on Amazon yet.

True, but Capitol acquired the rights to the soundtrack several years ago. And sat on it.

I knew there would be a catch in there somwhere ("That's some catch, that Catch-22"). Well, I'm just gonna buy Volume 3 and be happy with my Volumes 1 and 2, and all the vinyl LPs I have from all those years ago. ;)

I'll wait and see if these are any good and probably fill in some gaps in the collection.

Seems kind of odd they would release the final batch in single disc format.
Definitely on the want list, though

Oh! Now I understand, George. I thought you meant Volumes 1 and 2 were being re-remastered.
Nothing is mentioned about STEREO and MONO versions as we had with Volumes 1 and 2.
And I never heard of the Commercial Marketing label.
I'll wait and see.

How does it sound, Euan?

Very good the albums are both in Mono and Stereo the first section is in Mono then Stereo you can hear the difference. I've managed to listen to all the albums I will listen to the remaining two (Revolver & Hey Jude) tomorrow for The Beatles Yesterday & Today album there's as ticket so you can choose which cover you want.
-
Are you going to put the trunk cover sticker over the butcher cover, Euan?

Here's a more current write-up about the box set: The US Albums Box Set (http://www.thebeatlesrarity.com/2014/01/13/the-u-s-albums-box-set-a-more-detailed-look/)

Maybe but will probably just leave it with the CD.

I think that was a pretty good idea the designers came up with.
You're one of the very first to receive the set. Congratulations!
-
It was very fast I pre ordered it 1st January and saved up my money and it arrived today the release date of the UK. will be out in the US today now. Definitely worth getting the Boxset then getting them individually.

2ch Was planning to buy the Box Set until I just read that it's the 2009 UK remaster mixes that where used for the LPs. Surely that's not correct is it? Can someone who's listened to these inform me? I grew up with the Capitol versions and have Volumes 1 & 2 as well as a complete set of Ebbets U.S. Capitol releases which are great. I wanted to buy the new box set because it's a "legitimate release" but I don't want it if it's not the original U.S. Capitol versions.

That's why I'm happy with my set of US Capitol LPs bought when they were first released. Listening to them is the only way to recreate the experience of hearing them for the first time. No CD set for sale today set can ever sound like that.
The second best thing to do is digitalize the LPs and burn them to CDs much the way I copied them to cassettes in the 1980s.

This lists what mixes were used on the new release. Scroll down to post 17.

Having a listen now. Good nostalgia. These are the ones I grew up with. If you call this grown up.
:P

Thanks for the replies, fellas. The Hoffman link was informative and confirmed what I had read elsewhere. I think I'll buy only a select few of these rather than the entire box set.
