Right now:

Nothing's gonna change my world, nothing's gonna change my world.

You were in a car Crash and you lost your hair - this always gives me a laugh

I want to tell you I feel hung up and I dont know why - I just love this song and this line is so cool.

Let it Be
LEt it Be
Let it Be
Speaking words of WISDOM
Let it Be - these are very good advice

The entire lyrics of yer blues is so dark, bbut still great imagery.

Most of Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds again for the imagery

How can I even try, I can never win
Hearing them seeing them in the state I'm in
How could she say to me love will find a way
Gather round all you clowns, let me hear you say ay ay - so sad.

Personally I don't see how exhorting people (if as we're told this was a period of great social change) to leave well enough alone is particularly wise. "Way-up your options and reach a balanced conclusion" might be wise, but a b**** to find rhyms (sp) for.
Beatlesong #2 that could have the tag "this song has been sponsored by the Government Bureau of Public Safety."

"Life is very short, and there's no time
For fussing and fighting, my friend"

from We Can Work It Out,

I look at the world and I notice it's turning
from While My Guitar Gently Weeps - great lines!

And I just love the whole lyrics of "In My Life" and "I'm Only Sleeping"!

The Beach Boys - Surf's Up

A diamond necklace played the pawn
Hand in hand some drummed along, oh
To a handsome mannered baton
A blind class aristocracy
Back through the op'ra glass you see
The pit and the pendulum drawn
Columnated ruins domino
Canvass the town and brush the backdrop
Are you sleeping?
Hung velvet over taking me
Dim chandelier awaken me
To a song dissolved in the dawn
The music hall, a costly bow
The music all is lost for now
To a muted trumperter swan
Columnated ruins domino
Canvass the town and brush the backdrop
Are you sleeping, Brother John?
Dove nested towers
The hour was strike
The street quicksilver moon
Carriage across the fog
Two-Step to lamplight cellar tune
The laughs come hard in Auld Lang Syne
The glass was raised, the fired-roast
The fullness of the wine, a dim last toasting
While at Port, adieu or die
A choke of grief heart-hardened eye
Beyond belief, a broken man too tough to cry
Surf's up aboard a tidal wave
Come about hard and join the young and often spring you gave
I heard the word, wonderful thing
A children's song
A children's song, have you listened as they play?
Their song is love and the children know the way

I don't have a clue what most of this means, but I get a beautiful surrealistic movie in my head every time I listen to these lyrics. Van Dyke Parks is such a genius.

This song, Piazza New York Catcher by Belle and Sebastion is just amazing <3

Elope with me Miss Private and we’ll sail around the world
I will be your Ferdinand and you my wayward girl
How many nights of talking in hotel rooms can you take?
How many nights of limping round on pagan holidays?
Oh elope with me in private and we’ll set something ablaze
A trail for the devil to erase

San Francisco’s calling us, the Giants and Mets will play
Piazza, New York catcher, are you straight or are you gay?
We hung about the stadium, we’ve got no place to stay
We hung about the tenderloin and tenderly you tell
About the saddest ending of a book you ever had to read
The statue’s crying too and well he may

I love you I’ve a drowning grip on your adoring face
I love you my responsibility has found a place
Beside you and strong warnings in the guise of gentle words
Come wave upon me from the wider family net absurd
“You’ll take care of her, I know it, you will do a better job”
Maybe, but not what she deserves

Elope with me Miss Private and we’ll drink ourselves awake
We’ll taste the coffee houses and award certificates
A privy seal to keep the feel of 1960 style
We’ll comment on the decor and we’ll help the passer by
And at dusk when work is over we’ll continue the debate
In a borrowed bedroom virginal and spare

The catcher hits for .318 and catches every day
The pitcher puts religion first and rests on holidays
He goes into cathedrals and lies prostrate on the floor
He knows the drink affects his speed he’s praying for
a doorway
Back into the life he wants and the confession of the bench
Life outside the diamond is a wrench

I wish that you were here with me to pass the dull weekend
I know it wouldn’t come to love, my heroine pretend
A lady stepping from the songs we love until this day
You’d settle for an epitaph like “Walk Away, Renee”
The sun upon the roof in winter will draw you out like
a flower
Meet you at the statue in an hour
Meet you at the statue in an hour

I think that misses the point of lyric.  He's talking more about personal things, relationships, I think - "Let it Be" basically means "Let it go".  You know the whole "If you love something set it free", it's all the same idea.    Don't hold on too tight.  Sometimes when you stop trying so hard,  you are able to overcome the problem that seemed impossible, in some ways you were getting in your own way.  Or you realize that it's time to move on, you're holding onto the past.

In fact in a time of great change that is something that could be said to the people who are fighting so hard to stop any changes.

"Thought I'd been in love before, but in my heart, I wanted more."

I love "Real Love" right now, it's my favorite song at the moment. ;)

Your day breaks, your mind aches
There will be times when all the things she said will fill your head
You won't forget her

Just love that song in general lately.

I thought John wasn't too keen on this line himself, but because Bob Dylan had used the word 'clown', he thought it would be alright.

Some of my favorite lyrics right now are from "You Never Give Me Your Money".

One sweet dream
Pick up the bags and get in the limousine
Soon we'll be away from here
Step on the gas and wipe that tear away
One sweet dream came true today
Came true today
Came true today,yes it did.

I like these lyrics because they make me think about leaving the bad things in my life and moving on to better things.

'Please don't wake me, no
don't shake me
Leave me where I am
I'm only sleeping'

If only I could wake up and speak so eloquently my grandmother might actually let me go back to bed.
Always thought that Oasis The importance of being idle is a rip off of this song
