On Wednesday, November 25 at 10 p.m. Eastern, the History Channel will air “The Beatles On Record,” a new documentary on the beloved British band.
Featuring over 60 songs, with never-before-heard studio chatter, the doc “charts The Beatles’ extraordinary recording journey from Please Please Me to the epic Abbey Road LP and reveals how they developed as musicians, matured as songwriters and created an enduring body of work that pushed the boundaries of studio recording, changing the course of musical history and popular culture.”
“The Beatles On Record” is narrated by John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Ringo Starr, and Sir George Martin, and is directed by Bob Smeaton, who also directed the Beatles Anthology series and created the mini-documentaries featured on The Beatles’ newly re-mastered albums.

Awesome! I was skeptical until I saw that it is directed by the same guy who did the Anthology and it's just using narration from the Beatles (plus George Martin) themselves, rather than some 40 year old irrevelant British man with a deep voice :) Should be interesting!
-
I'm excited! I'll be sure to mark NOV. 25 on my calender. ;D
-
I'm sure this is the one that was on BBc2 a few weeks back, I thoroughly enjoyed it. :)
-
I hope this turns up on the internet. since I don't have the History channel.

Yep! Looks like it. It was broadcast on BBC2 the weekend before the Remasters were released; I watched and recorded it...well worth it, although, the mini documentaries that come with the Stereo Remasters look to be using footage lifted from this very documentary! Doesn't matter though....there's a bit more in this, and it's still very good anyway :)
Steve.

Aren't these all the mini-documentaries together as one?

^^
i think it is, they probably put it all together for people who already have all the albums and don't want to buy them all again just to watch it. either that or they don't feel like getting it. i'm just lucky i didn't buy them all yet, so i'm getting the remaining albums that were remastered ;D
-
Thanks for posting that in its entirety! I enjoyed it, though it was basically a condensed version of the Anthology. Perhaps it'll be a little more user-friendly to casual fans and others who aren't so Beatle obsessive :D

AWESOME!!!! Just watched the whole show here now!! Gonna tape it tonight. And did you know Macca is gonna be in concert on CBS tomorrow night at 9 PM CST USA time??? Gonna do that one too. A "Beatles' Thanksgiving" for me this year!!!
-
Comes on in 5 minutes for me! Seen it already online as I stated in this thread, but really, who can have too much of The Beatles?
-
my mom downgraded our package last week so I don't get this channel anymore >:( I was looking forward to watching this tonight, oh well, i'll watch it on the internet
-
just finished watching it a few minutes ago, such a pain with the commercials :( Haha but of course right when it came on my dad comes in my room and goes, "Turn on the History Channel!". And not to his surprise he found me watching it ;D
-
i saw it about an hour ago, but the only problem was that some of the songs that were playing had either a voice or an instrument sounding too quiet than the rest. :-\
-
I saw it about an hour ago aswell, I thought it was great! Watched it with me mum, and she liked it a lot! Got her to talk about the good old days! ;) She has some great stories!! And she told me of her never ending love for Ringo tonight! ;D ha2ha

Great segment 8 minutes of posative coverage on the DeLorean and JZD. James showed the car and explained its history very well. Hopefully more shows like this will be made. Its good to see something non critical about John and the car

Guess who taped the whole thing? ha2ha
