Isn't Who's Next the last album with Keith? I can't remember. If that's the case then anything after that is CRAP!!! Well, I kinda like You Better You Bet. But it's not very Who sounding. That's how important Moon was. The whole sound of the band changed without him.

Duh! I know nothing about their album order! Obviously. I knew the album with fat Keith was the last, but I forgot the stupid name! They put Who in their titles too much! Who this Who that!!! Confusing! Well if that's the case then I can't choose. I love both eras equally!

Well its a great name to make puns with.  have to exploit that!.  he died in 1978, right before the release of The Kids Are Alright.  Kinda ironic

Yeah, I like the whole who in the title thing. But it confuses me! Poor Keith, only 32. Although he seemed older. Wonder what he'd be like today? He's be 59 in August.

I also pick the early days. I saw them back in '67 when they were still destroying their instruments. They were a loud, very hard rocking band back then.

Early days, mainly because of Tommy... it being my favorite Who album... But I also like Who's Next... So I'm an in-betweener... I just like random albums, not any certain era...

Yeah, he had tons of them in his stomach. I always wonder if it was intentional. No one that knew him thought so, but why would he take so much?

Have you read Dear Boy : The Life Of Keith Moon ?

Its a great read. You'll find out that he had severe problems in his later years.

Yup, I have it. Although I stopped towards the end. It was getting to depressing. But I did read about his death. He was trying to get help at that point, but I think he was too far gone. Wierd that he was at Paul McCartney's that night.

Yup. Pretty wierd. Here's some info:

After years of illicit drug taking it's ironic that the prescription drug Heminevrin, prescribed to wean Keith off alcohol, would be the drug that killed him. A post mortem confirmed there were 32 tablets in his system at the time, 26 of which were undissolved. The conspiracy theorists tell us that he was too experienced a drug user to have accidentally overdosed, that his death was in fact a suicide. Some, including John Entwistle, believe Moon choked to death, that his muscles were just too relaxed to vomit. Most people however don't believe it was suicide, citing Keith's love of life and the fact that he never thought much about even what he was taking, let alone how much (after all this is the same guy who gulped down a horse tranquilizer that put him out for 2 days!).

On September 6, 1978 Moon attended a party thrown by Paul McCartney in honour of the movie "The Buddy Holly Story". It would be his last night out. Sometime in the late afternoon of September 7, 1978, Keith John Moon died in flat #9, 12 Curzon Place, London. Ironically, it was the same flat that Mama Cass died in years before. One of rock's most talented and exciting drummers, and arguably its' greatest personification of its excesses, was dead.

BTW, it's not called Dear Boy here, it's called Keith Moon: The Life and Death of a Rock Star. Same book though. I wonder why they changed the name for the American release??

I guess it's because 'Dear boy' is a very English sort of saying.
