I was just wondering what you all thought about him, favorite songs, album etc, anything about the whole Patti issue, his style etc. I think he's one of the greatest guitar players ever and a terrific songwriting. My personal favorite is "Next Time You See Her" off the Slowhand album.

I've went in stages with Clapton. I first thought that he was a god, then went with the overated idea for awhile, and now respect him again. 'I Cant Stand It' is probably my favorite and its because of the drums. Sad isnt it?

Clapton is a fantastic guitarist and songwriter. He did his best with Cream. "I'm So Glad" being my favorite song written by the man. But if I have to pick a favorite solo song, then it's "Cocaine". I really wish I could have gone to see him this time around. I know he won't do this kind of thing for too much longer probably.

I don't really like him solo. I like him in the Yardbirds, Cream, and Derek and the Dominos.

I only like a couple of his songs. I've never really listened to him that thoroughly. Layla and Wonderful Tonight are my favourites.

His "Cream" work was some of his best! The chance to put together "Blind Faith" didn't hurt his career either! Unfortunatley Eric has lost his will to play "rock music" these days! Prehaps uniting with his old band mates will spark his desire!

I've been getting into Ginger Baker--the Cream stuff--lately. Jack Bruce is cool too. Eric seems to work best with a serious collaborator: jack bruce, george harrison, duane allman, bobby whitlock, etc.
