Post number one in which I invited you to watch a documentary...
-
John Lennon and Albert Goldman: The Making of A Bestseller Part 1/10 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DY4aPAehQ4A#)
Sorry, but does that "digging-dirt"-author of that "trash"-book really needs a topic ? What's the point ???

I enjoy seeing reflex responses such as the ones above. It's the hallmark of a good forum. And sensitive, thoughtful participants.
Yes, I think Albert Goldman is a dirt-digging, poor excuse for an author too. Beyond that, he let his personal feelings about the subjects of his books alter the truth to the point where his works have little credibility.
-
Alright then don't watch the documentary.
Don't worry, I certainly won't.... would just be a waste of time 4ac

I'm happy you showed the good sense to delete your last post.

Darn, missed it.

Darn, missed it.

I posted a video of a decent documentary. Alright if nobody is interested then that's that, no comments. Why the hell would you post "this doesn't deserve to be talked about". If that is the case don't bother replying and "wasting your time" on this thread. The documentary actually discussed this book in an intelligent manner, it included actual interviews with the people who were interviewed for the book and asked them what they thought about it.
Maybe from now on I post nothing.
-
Or do I just have to run my views through Snoopy before I can say anything remotely about John?
It would appear that Snoopy has the correct view and everyone has to get it straight with her before going to press.
-
Maybe from now on I post nothing.
awe dont be like that, cheer up ;)

Yeah, you got it... why not ? ;D

Don't go away. Instead of Snoopy, run it by me. I'll back you up. :D

Ollie, your bigger than this. Its just a random remark. How many of those have come and gone. Hell, we're the ones that are supposssed to be running people off, not the other way around. ha2ha

Todd, it was a bullsh*t response in my view, if I have nothing to say about a thread I don't say it, I have learned that particular forum ettiquette over the years. It helps to ease friction and arguements. Snoopys comments come across to me as being b****y in the extreme. It's not my place to go hounding, that's not me at all, you can do the chase.
Hello Goodbye, I was spot on with my deleted comment, there is another place full of them. I'm aware Elvis has a similar following. It's not surprising but it does draw some odd characters with very odd opinions.

Now come on Yeshelloitsmehereagain, Snoopy was a little sarcastic but thats all mate, I cant believe your skin is so thin you would take offence so easily, if your ultra sensitive maybe you shouldnt come on forums........however, if you decide to stay then try to see the funny side sometimes, but please decide and if your staying with us stop threatening to quit, this is a great forum and you will be silly to leave it for something so trivial.

Ollie has a point. ha2ha
If you're not interested in a thing someone has posted, just don't react. As long as the post or thread itself is relevant to the forum, it's OK to be there. Members and guests might find an interest in a link or whatever. I remember certain members getting tired of peregrine9's news, where others were happy to read the latest news. It was solved by giving peregrine9 a child board to post the latest Beatles related news.
As far as things as these are concerned, it's a matter of live and let live. Oh, and peace and love of course. We're all here for a good discussion and that's all fine, but please remain respectful to each other. It's not really difficult and try to see the tongue in the cheek.
-
Ban Snoopy from everywhere on here then give her a child board where those who enjoy that particular brand of humour can go there and have their sides split.
How incredibly rude of me to post anything.

Wise words from Bobber

You bought a Royal Enfield? Cool. Let me know what you think. I've read a ton of ride reports from people that have ridden them over in europe and other countries. I have a Vstrom and its a decent bike all around.

Nice one Todd, didnt know you were a fellow biker, Ive had tons over the years, lots of British bikes.....so far Im very impressed with the RE, it draws tons of looks, I traded in my Fireblade for it and the sales guy couldnt believe it ha2ha
Like I said though, this is more in keeping with my age ;D

Nice bikes, Kev and Todd. When I was 19 I tried out a friend's Honda 160 for a couple of days. I was a bit nervous with it on crowded streets so I dropped the idea.

Who said I didn't love Mr. Ed? I've loved that TV show since it first aired! Mr. Ed proved that horses are smarter than humans. ;)
And you're right, Kev. I'm a fan of all things horsey. Here's my latest ride...

Yeah, i've been riding bikes my entire life. My dad used to own a motocross track while I grew up. Here's some pics of some bikes I have and had.

The 2005 YZ 250 that taught me that i'm too old. Got rid of it for the Vstrom.

Of course I have some 4-wheelers too to ride with the wife and kids.
