Beyond Abbey Road -- last album -- "Everest"
« on: August 02, 2007, 01:07:29 AM »

I love this one.  It's not the most coherent thing, though I don't think you can call "The White Album" or "Revolver" coherent, nor would you want to.  It is, I think, a "Paul" album, with George's "You" being a definite favorite.  And "Be Here Now."  What a great song.
The coolest thing, in my humble humbleness, is finishing with "the wonder of it all, baby ..." which is pure Beatles optimism and, well, wonder.  It's as great an outro as "The End" or "A Day in the Life."  Sacrilege to some, I'm sure.  A suitable ending, I think.  What ho.

What a great concept, I will definitely be checking out your other virtual albums in this thread.

Do you think they would have used cover songs though? I\'m not sure the Platters\' Only You would be here.
