Just to spell it out for you, and speaking only for myself, mind: I think you've got to be a bit of a boofhead to post a thread on a Beatles board, telling everyone that you got a girlfriend today. I think Mr Farm's answer was so perfectly appropriate, it won my vote for funniest ever in these parts.

I personally don't understand why you are making a big deal calling the thread ridiculous. some people, on the forum, have lives and interests other than the beatles and there are also people interested in hearing what goes on in the lives of other members who they have befriended through the forum. but i guess you wouldn't understand seeing as you haven't made too many friends here.

Personally, I'm glad for him.

Then it should be in "Different Conversations", not under the "Beatles" heading. Personally, I'm happy for him and his new rubber friend.
