Running, Screaming, Flapping!!!
Oh, she's having a rough time of it!!! They were flapping in the bedroom right over our heads! I learned a great trick by accident years ago. I opened the window and they flew out. Then The next time I opened the window and took the screen out and it flew harmlessly into the screen and I put it down onto the bed and trapped him there till I got my gloves and threw him out the window!
I checked the attic ( very big and creepy) and it looked like the start of a colony so the next day I got a couple of boxes of mothballs and stapled the bags onto the joists where they were gathering. I also used Deer Off and I haven't seen one since!

In fact, the bat population has really decreased around here and I wonder if the ariel mosquito spraying has anything to do with it.
Hey farmer farmer put away your DDT nowGive me spots on my apples but leave me the birds and the beesPlease!
Personally I like them. They're very gentle and harmless unless your a bug! I go up and they fly all around me but they need to live outside in the bat houses I put up!
Poor misunderstood bats. Most people think they're rodents, but they're mammals...and they're our friends.
I understand their importance and I don't like acting like a ninny around them but man; I can't help myself!
I can't either! I am terrified of bats, even though I know they are important to the ecosystem.
