Deep Beatles: “Everybody’s Got Something to Hide Except for Me and My Monkey” (1968)

Would the Beatles’ self-titled 1968 album (otherwise known as the White Album) have been stronger as a single-disc work? Was it as fragmented and disjointed as critics then claimed? As Paul McCartney exclaimed in the Anthology documentary, “I mean, it’s great, it sold, it’s the bloody Beatles White Album! So shut up!”

Abbey Road webcam is huge hit for Beatles fans

A WEBCAM set up outside the Abbey Road zebra crossing made famous by the Beatles on their iconic album cover has proved a huge worldwide hit. Although the crossing is on a busy North London thoroughfare, traffic regularly grinds to a halt several times an hour as visitors and tourists re-enact the album cover scene of the Fab Four processing across the road.

Epstein Theatre £1m refurbishment launch

Liverpool’s Neptune Theatre, formerly Crane’s Music Hall in Hanover Street has been revolutionised as the new Epstein Theatre, in honour of Brian Epstein, the Beatles first manager.
