Has anyone else heard Of this 3 man (i think) Band. They don't have any stringed instruments. They've got a drummer and keyboard/syntheciser(sp?)

NME bands, with more on image and gimmick than music.
I can understand why people like them, but for me, they are destroying the band scene in England.

You know, when there's I new band on the radio that I like, I have this "rule": if they release three singles in a row that I like, I'll buy the album.

Keane had two great singles, "Somewhere only we know" and "Everybody's changing". Both great songs. But then they released "Bedshaped". So I didn't buy the album.

I saw 'em on SNL two weeks or so ago. Not bad...I agree that "Somewhere Only We Know" is very McCartneyish. o.o

Bought their album months ago. It wasn't really spectacular but it's good.

good band but every second song on the radio is a Keane song, which deflates them a bit ('spose people moaned like this about the Beatles in '63).
I think they sound more like Ah Ha than McCartney

They sound like a poor man's Coldplay to me - very piano-riff driven. I can't help liking Everybody's Changing though! :)

I believe they play with a backing tape with a pre-recorded bassline though.
