Yeah, interesting video. V. cute, if odd. I agree, the girls are great, but what is Paul trying to say here? Is Beatlemania part of his ever present past? So now as then he sees himself surrounded by Beatlemaniacs, only these days they dress in sleek black slacks and twirl around in pouty polished unison? V. peculiar.

Then he fades out in imitation of Rodin's Thinker. Is Paul also confounded by the meaning, and trying to work it out?

OK, his dancing is terrible. Terrible terrible. When I first watched it I didn't know if laugh or cry.
Paul loves being ridicolous. I love that. All the girls look very similar. Sure there are plenty of them and not just one reproduced over and over?  ;)
I don't know, really strange video. But it's better this than nothing. Let's hope will be a third single for Memory Almost Full.

That's better than my thought, which was that he was trying to be a Michael Jackson. Maybe he thought, if he confused people enough about his identity, they'd accidentally start sending him royalties for all those songs Mike owns...

thought it was great, reminds me of the video for music is my radar by blur lots of random dancing that you would'nt associate with the track, geez when he did the twirl i thought he was gonna start break dancing :). i think both videos so far have been good.

anyways i doubt it was pauls idea, probably the director " hey paul i know what would be cool for you're video and would be hip and get you in with the youngsters, you dancing and sexy woman dancing round you ?" "okay but only if they are fully clothed and its in a art gallery i still wanna look sophisto" :P

I thought it was alright. The dancing isn't overdone and it's good to see the old geezer has got some moves. It's cool.

I'd heard about this vid, and thought he might be embarrassing himself in it, so I'd put off watching it. However, it's pretty good. It's a good, fairly catchy song, so doesn't need any complex imagery in the video, and the dance routine seems to work just right - not too many fast moves for the old man. 7/10.

Interesting if it is October 22 - same release date as Ray Davies' new one solo album, 'Working Man's Cafe'.

Ray's new Myspace page is previewing three tracks from the album...

Ray Davies Official Myspace

...the official release date is stated there as the 29th, but Amazon and others are shipping on the 22nd. Go figure.

Is this his newest single? I hope not. I think its probably the weakest song on the album. Its my second least favorite.
