Speaking of 'Walk Away Renee', I love the Left Banke. Maybe i'll start a thread for them.

I don't know why but The Cowsills kind of flew under my radar before. I knew the basics but it's been fun really seeing what they were all about.

In the late 60s they were hard to miss.  They averaged about two hundred live performances a year for three years.

At that time I was at the mercy of the older ones in the family, musically speaking. I didn't start thinking for myself until I discovered The Partridge Family!

My wife took my daughter and half of her 8th grade basketball team to the movies the other day and they sang 'Hair' together as its one of their favorites. The other girls looked at each other in amazement (not due to the great singing, but they thought the song was so silly). One of them asked my daughter how she knew her mothers hippy music so well.  ha2ha

You and your wife taught your daughter well, Todd.  Hair is a good song.  It was an anthem in its day.

The Cowsills sing "HELPLESSLY HOPING" at Epcot Flower and Garden Festival 2008[/url]

They did a nice job with my favorite CS&N song.

There's a radio interview with The Cowsills from 7/21/11 here: http://kearth101.radio.com/2011/07/21/cowsills-debut-family-band-the-cowsills-story-documentary-at-the-paley-center/

They even sing "Hair" at the end!
