During their interviews at the Beatle Convention in Liverpool this year, both Mark Lewisohn and Tony Barrow cited Neil Aspinall as the fith Beatle. But, in my opinion you can only truly be classed as a fith Beatle if you were actually IN the band when there were five members - so that would be either Pete Best or more likey Stuart Sutcliffe. But that's just MY opinion!
Well, Sir George did work IN the band, with the music, you know...
True, but he was never a member - he didn't have the hair for it!!
Julian Lennon? He made some albums, and had a top ten UK hit in the late 80s/early 90s.
Sir George did a good job...and he was paid... oh, I love the keyboards parts he played on stage with the guys during the Beatlemania era... and his harmonies too, of course. In music, the producer always takes part in the work in studio but a band is more than the studio work.
