Names Not Numbers Portmeirion And The Beatles

Apologies, posting has been light here. It’s the combination of starting political blogging at the Telegraph and a long weekend in Wales at Portmeirion for the Editorial Intelligence Names Not Numbers conference. It was three fascinating days of discussion hosted brilliantly by Julia Hobsbawm. The location was simply stunning. If you haven’t visited Portmeirion, go walk on the sands. Examine the architecture, a response to the tyranny of modernism, and have a nice cup of tea.Even as a Beatles fanatic I had not realised there was several Portmeirion connections. Brian Epstein stayed there regularly in the early 1960s and George Harrison took over the place for his 50th birthday celebrations.
