This one just popped up on Spotify while I was running errands. I'd completely forgotten about it. When my ex and I were dating, he'd always play this on the jukebox just to annoy the journalism students, a rather stuffy, pretentious bunch (not me, of course  )

I have some songs on my playlist that get me looks, too. One of them is Barbie Girl by Aqua.

I just now read that it was written in response to the Cuban Missile Crisis. I hadn't known that.

Hmmm, I was getting ready to post this—a song that has always annoyed me—when I found out it has a Beatles connection.

I understand this song is popular—apparently it hit No. 8 on the U.S. charts—but it's always grated on me.
