Paul announced his Got Back tour is resuming later this year , dates revealed so far are in Australia
-
Yeah that came as a bit of a surprise. I’m tossing up whether to take my youngest.

Decided what the hell. Taking all my kids to it.

That's so great, Moogmodule. I'm still kicking myself for not taking my own three to see him in Fargo back in 2014. Enjoy! icon_good

Gee, I hope I've posted this in the right place, it's not solely about his forthcoming Australian tour. :-\

As mentioned in another thread I had a great time at Paul’s show on Saturday. I’ll do a longer review soon but overall I think I liked it even more than the 2017 show. I can see him
touring for at least a couple of more years yet.

Only one way to describe last night ..............Fab !!
What an awesome show Paul and the band put on here on the Gold Coast. A memory that will last a lifetime. I'm on a complete high this morning icon_cool
This guy is an inspiration !!! 81 years old and he does a 3 hour live show as band leader. How long can he go one, he just doesn't move like an old man.
Go Paul !!!

I can hear your enthusiasm bursting through my screen, nimrod! :) I'm glad you enjoyed the show. I'm quite envious of you and Moogmodule getting to see him.

Can I ask what you thought of the I Gotta Feeling segment?

Personally I loved it. I think it's great how Paul pays tribute to John & George, & George Martin.
Did you not enjoy it ?
My one little complaint was that the solo on Something was crap, played by his lead guitar guy (can't remember his name).... A very small complaint though, the rest was fab. Paul I think sounds better on the more rocky numbers, Let It Be & Blackbird his voice was very wavery.

Kev and Moog, I’m so glad you both got to see Paul! He sounded great in the video you posted, Kev.

June 4 - Syracuse, N.Y. @ Carrier Dome
I so wish we could make this happen!!

I liked it but I got in my head John’s voice sounded a bit odd. Not quite natural. But I asked a couple of people who went and they didn’t notice it. It might have been because hearing his voice in isolation like that was unusual. But it was a great moment regardless.

Yes he definitely carries off the rock numbers better. But I just accept his voice now. And Let it Be I found was just an emotional experience with the whole stadium singing along and everyones phone lights going.
It was great all round and I’m glad I made the effort.

That would be so great, Kelley -- but I think it was last June 4 that he played the Carrier Dome? If he schedules a future date I would be thrilled, and we should make plans to meet up! Or if he plays Buffalo.

Arghh! I don’t know what that website was that I got this date from. Now I see that there are tons of sketchy sites like that. According to his (hopefully) official site, paulmccartney.com there aren’t any dates past the Mexico leg scheduled. Let’s cross our fingers!

There really are! I've gotten misled a lot in the past.
I'm annoyed with myself for missing the Syracuse show. Even though money has been tight, I should have taken the opportunity. Syracuse would be easier for me (than an unfamiliar venue) given that I grew up there and have been to several events at the Carrier Dome.

Fingers are crossed! :)

I didn’t look too closely at these sites but I imagine the end-game here is to sell tickets to something that doesn’t exist. I know neither one of us would be tricked that way but it still ticks me off to get excited about something that doesn’t exist! Kevin tried to talk me into going to last year’s show but the idea of being packed into a huge venue has always scared me. Then, like you, I’ve regretted my decision!
