me was the Bootleg CD Live!Ticket To Ride 2 Concerts Sweden 1963 and Paris 1965.

Yellow Submarine Poster I was getting my own room and it was the time YS was remasatered and released with the soungtrack & DVD and they had posters so I bought one.

I encoutered the same problem. ha2ha  One of my sisters had bought the red album (1962-1966), but my own first Beatle item? Probably Rubber Soul.

Thats hysterical because its my story too. I stole my sisters Red Album when I was really young (like 7) and fell in love with the group. Rubber Soul was the first album I bought with my own money, but as for Beatle item, who knows. Maybe it was the Rubber Soul record.

That's great. I guess I bought Rubber Soul because I wasn't really sure about The Beatles just yet. On the Red Album were a lot of songs from Rubber Soul, so I thought I already liked those. If I should not like the rest of the album, I always liked the songs that were on the Red Album as well.

I think so too. In hindsight, had I bought Yellow Submarine on that occasion, my life would have made a different turn there and then.

The first item I bought was The Beatles 1987 edition. I then went on to get the remainders of those. Then years later I upgraded to the remastered stereo and mono box sets.

Apart from the albums I think I bought a Sgt Pepper poster...or it could have been the First US Visit DVD...or my Treasures of The Beatles box, I really can't remember  ha2ha no but I think it was the poster  ;D

First album and Beatles item I got was 1967-1970 on CD back in 1998 although I was listening to the Beatles tapes my mom and brother had a long time before then.

I have that vinyl. Although the cover is kinda water damaged. The album plays well though.

Welcome to the Forum, dsg7286.  I have all the Capitol LPs, Revolver being the first I purchased in 1966.  My younger sister gave me all prior LPs when Rubber Soul was released.  She was 11 at the time and The Beatles weren't "fun" anymore.  Rubber Soul made me a fan.

My LPs are in excellent condition including the covers.  The Revolver LP I posted is just a sample I found posted.

All my Capitol LPs are mono up to and including Sgt Pepper.  Many years ago, I found and bought a UK mono first pressing of Sgt Pepper.  That is my "prized possession."  ;)

Thanks for the welcome and wow, I'd kill for the Mono LP's especially Sgt. Pepper's. Very awesome indeed.  :)

They're still around at reasonable pricing.  "You haven't heard Sgt. Pepper's if you haven't heard it in mono."  ;)

So I've heard, I've listened to the recent Mono remaster, but I gotta hear the vinyl version at some point.
