" Southland Tales " a work of genius or the worst film ever made ? I saw it yesterday on DVD it's Richard Kelly's long awaited second film , he made the cult classic " Donnie Darko "
Southland Tales is an apocalyptic science fiction movie ,which as been savaged by the critics , but i really enjoyed it , anyone else seen this film yet ?
It's a real trip of a movie and at 2hrs and 29 minutes a test of your endurance . It's got (The Rock) Dwayne Johnson , (Buffy The Vampire Slayer )Sarah Michelle Geller in it , as well as Miranda Richardson ,Christopher Lambert , Justin Timberlake and the little funny women from Poltergeist .
Justin Timberlake does The Killers " All These Things That I've done " coverd in blood with a load of sexy nurses , and Moby does the soundtrack .
It's an absoloute riot of a film , it's got humping cars , porn stars , the book of revalations , a real anti American theme about the war on terror , it's visually stunning and really badly acted , what more could you want , it's pop culture gone mad as far as i can see , and i loved it .
