How's it going Hello Goodbye? These are all great songs, Bacharach/David really knew how to capture the moment in a song. Take care.

Hello everyone especially you Hello Goodbye! I love every single song mentioned in this thread. WOW, Bacharach/David wrote so many great songs that were recorded by so many great artists. I don't know if these songs were mentioned but I also love the songs "Do You Know The Way To San Jose" by DIONNE WARWICK and "Everybody's Out Of Town" by B.J. THOMAS. THE BEATLES recorded a Bacharach/David song that was recorded and made popular by THE SHIRELLES, the song is "Baby Its You." I must confess, I even thought the song "That's What Friends Are For" was a Bacharach/David song since it does have the feel of a Bacharach/David composition. However, I realized that it was a Bacharach/Segar composition. In my opinion, Bacharach/Segar had a similar songwriting style of Goffin/King. Take care.

Hi BeatlesForever, I hesitated including Baby It's You because Mack David, Hal David's older brother, wrote the lyrics.  But let's include it:

Baby It's You

Shirelles - Baby It's You

The Shirelles   1961

THE BEATLES Remasters! /// 10. Baby It's You - (PLEASE PLEASE ME) - (MONO Remastered 2009)

Hello Hello Goodbye! I knew that it was one or the other but I wasn't sure who it was. I admit, I really thought that it was Hal David. I just realized something, Burt Bacharach wrote songs with BOTH brothers separately! Didn't both David Brothers write some songs together? Take care.

I feel better about liking this '80's song now that I know it was really a '60's song and who wrote it.  ;D
