Beatles cartoons
« on: October 15, 2004, 04:32:32 PM »

Does anybody know anything about the Beatles cartoons? I remember seeing them on tv about 25 years ago, but haven't heard anything baout them.  Are they available anywhere? I'd love to see them again.

I've seen them available as bootlegs, but as far as I know, they've never been officially released.

Mitch Axelrod wrote a whole book about it.  Good stuff, too.

Thanks. I checked out the website, but I'm afraid they're too expensive! At least I know they're out there.

I have a video tape of the Beatles cartoons. They're all in there, and they are so funny. The quality is not too bad. I think the tape is actually a bootleg, but still at least I have them

Hi everyone,

I just stumbled upon your posts and yes, I am the author of "Beatletoons."  The link doesn't work because I have an agreement with Apple where I took it down.  Hopefully, we can work it out (sorry about the pun) where the site will be up again once the cartoons are released officially (hopefully this year, the 40th anniversary of the series).

If anyone would like a personally signed copy of my book, just simply write to me.

Have a great day.

OMG, thanks so much for the info! I'll totally have to get the official releases when they come out. And your book to accompany them of course.

Perhaps someone can help settle an argument I have with a friend regarding the cartoons?

Did the Beatles voice them or were actors who sounded like them employed?

(I only ask as 1) I'm too lazy to research it myself and 2) I don't have any copies so I can check the credits)

Thanks
