I was just searching on a different Beatles topic when Google, as usual, popped up with its list of "similar searches" (which are usuall side-splittingly funny). One was "Who is the biggest Beatles fan?" so of course I had to click to see what came up: Kolya Vasin. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kolya_Vasin
I have the feeling I am going to be the only one here who has never before heard of Vasin. Perhaps I have read about him and simply forgotten.
It seemed to me like he had a bit of a sad life, and indeed he committed suicide in 2018.
Anyway, just in case I'm NOT the only one who wasn't familiar with him, I thought I'd post the Wikipedia link.

Never heard of him. Maybe they based the Russian character in the film Yesterday who still remembered the Beatles on him.

His life sounds kind of sad. His suicide note read (in part) ""It's impossible to live in a country where nobody supports a Temple of John Lennon."

Crickey, his museum really does exist! Some cool pictures here: https://beatlesmuseum.ru/events (https://beatlesmuseum.ru/events)
I must ask my parents (born and bred in St Petersburg) if they heard of him
