Title: What is Paul's best moment after the Beatles?
Post by: Wayne L. on March 09, 2005, 12:24:56 AM
I think Paul's best moment as an artist after the Beatles would have to be his succeessful 76 U. S. tour with his band Wings proving this former Beatle could still rock in the era of Led Zeppelin & Kiss.

That's tough. I'd have to say organizing the Concert for New York City.

I've always admired Paul for the way he handled his imprisonment in Japan. He must have been worried, and being deprived of your freedom could never be pleasant. But when he talks about it, he always seems very realistic about what happened, and suitably appreciative of the way he was treated.

The point is, someone with his power and influence could easily bad-mouth the Japenese NOW, and become very self-righteous about it all.

That he doesn't do these things reflects very favorably on him.

Hard to say, but for me it was between 1973 (Recording BAND ON THE RUN) 'til 1976(Performing with a very well rehearshed Rock-Band during the WINGS OVER EUROPE / AMERICA tour).
You may say "WINGS AT THE SPEED OF SOUND is mostly terrible", and I would have to admit, you're right, but listening to the triple LP / double CD WINGS OVER AMERICA , recorded live in the same year, you'll understand, what I talked about above.
