John Lennon Plastic Ono Band is the greatest solo album by any former Beatle & a masterpiece by John.

Ram.

It was the first Paul album I got.

Tough choices. I went with Ram. More upbeat than the others.

1.All Things Must Pass (masterpiece) ;D
2.Ram (there are so many things on it as in any album from the guys except Sgt Peppers) :)
3.Plastic Ono Band (a great one, I like it, but overrated so often!!) :-/

RAM

ATMP actually grew a little stale with me and of course John brings up the rear.

Ram. Always been a favourite. But it's very close.

RAM is my favourite!
I think it's an amazing album, the tunes are beautiful!
Very very interesting album, over the last few years i've regareded it
as quite a classic! quite underated when it first came out.
I always felt All Things Must pass was slightly let down by the Apple Jam,
and Plastic ono band a very hard listen. All great music though but
it is RAM for me!

All Things Must Pass just blew me away on first listening. I return to it often and play different selections depending on my mood. It can be happy, reflective, or comforting as needed. :)

"All Things Must Pass" wins for me. George's masterpiece and his catharsis after realase from the shadow of Lennon & McCartney.

Plastic Ono band but if we're comparing the best album by each, surely  pauls choice should be C&C rather than the rather patchy Ram album.

POB.  Like it or no, the only truly original work by a solo Beatle (IMO of course, because we've fought this battle before.)
