fave order of abbey road album
« on: August 23, 2007, 08:55:22 PM »

just wondering if any of you guys have a certain order of tracks on abbey road you like playing, i began to enjoy it more like this

Come Together
Something
Maxwell's Silver Hammer
Oh Darling
Octopus's Garden
I Want You (She's So Heavy)
Here Comes The Sun
Because
Sun King
Mean Mr Mustard
Polythene Pam
She Came In Through The Bathroom Window
You Never Give Me Your Money
Golden Slumbers
Carry That Weight
End Her Majesty

i do it to try to get the medley to fit better with "you never gave me youre money" leading into golden slumbers which has the same chord progression.

does anyone else do this or even with another album ?

Not really, it mucks things up for me. I listen to the albums as a whole & i hate
skipping & shuffling tracks, it annoys me!  :-/
So bascially i don't do it.

I think the order was right, especially with the medley.  Abbey Road is one of these few CDs that can be heard from beginning to end without skipping any track....

i just love that with the new order each  song is linked with the same chord progression and also brings the last song in at some point like in golden slumber, you never gave me youre money comes back in and so on...., where as the lennon part of the medley doesnt quite fit in with the songs ive mentioned imo.
