I think its from late 63 - some English variety show. I recall another picture in the same setting with all these other entertainres.

It might be a pre-Christmas gathering Grosvenor House Hotel, London's Park Lane 1963.
I am not completely sure, but I found a similar picture labeled as such...

Cor... you threadcrapper... :o The ones standing behind the band and those in these pictures are usually the band that went before or after The Beatles. I don't know why they did it that way.

It looks like The Beatles are set up on a ballroom floor. The people behind them are just people; men and women attending the concert.
I guess The Beatles also invented "Theater In The Round." ;D
