Before I go on, let me warn you that I talk dirty, and that I will say things you will neither enjoy nor agree with. You shouldn't feel threatened, though, because I am a mere buffoon, and you are all philosophers.

So interesting, sharing things like this. My #1 isn't even mentioned by anyone else yet. It always lifts me, though, and I could listen endlessly. Anyway...

1. 'I Feel Fine'
2. 'The Word'
3. 'Lovely Rita'
4. 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps'
5. 'I Want To Hold Your Hand'
6. 'Day Tripper'
7. 'Ticket To Ride'
8. 'I've Got A Feeling'
9. 'Old Brown Shoe'
10. 'I Saw Her Standing There'

Just a snapshot of how I feel right. Could be very different any other time. Too much greatness there to be so choosey.

Since I'm fairly new here, I thought I'd try. I just came up with this list in about a half an hour (imalooozzuurrr) so it's not perfect :)

1) Something - outstanding work from Harrison
2) I've Just Seen a Face - just one of those songs that puts me in a good mood
3) You've Got To Hide Your Love Away - so meaningful and powerful plus amazing vocals from John!
4) Eleanor Rigby - what a BEAUTIFUL/sad song...
5) Things We Said Today - very underrated, not even sure why i like this one so much
6) I'm a Loser - John's best as far as writing goes
7) For No One - depressing song *sigh*
8) I've Got a Feeling - love how they sing together at the end; thats why it's on this list!
9) This Boy - my favorite of their earlier works
10) Rain - somehow... this song is friggin magical!
...
11) THE FOOL ON THE HILL (JUST MISSED IT! D:)

Again, not perfect...

10-Lovely Rita
9-Help
8-You never give me  your money
7-Fixing a hole
6-Happiness is a warm gun
5-Norwegian wood
4-I am the warlus
3-Tomorrow never knows
2-Eleanor Rigby

I was going to put a y/t vid of my top 10 Beatle songs and that was the 10 I chose. Seems strange to omit A Day in the life but I could say that about loads of Beatle songs.

I always thought they were miming on that but then John would have done the scream in the intro. It does't sound much different from the stuido vamped up version.

It's actually a "live" recording specifically for the promo. They even incorporate "byom shoo be doo wah" bits into this absolutely brilliant rocking performance.

Yep, I think you're right, TJ. After listening to both versions again, the backing tracks are the same. I misunderstood what you meant by "mimed" in your previous post. I thought you were saying the video was lip-synced. Sorry. I will say though, the promo backing track mix seems to have a bit of extra punch added to it.
