Whose version do you like best?
Paul McCartney - Goodbye (Demo) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4P7GaGajec#)
Mary Hopkin Goodbye (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mKgu8etXXcQ#ws)
Edit: Restored the Mary Hopkin video.

Here again, I am like a sheep...Paul's version.
-
To me Paul's voice is more sweeter :D Of course Paul's is better ;D
-
Sounds great with both voices. Mary Hopkin's fully arranged version is cool but the stripped acoustic version is cool as well. I can't choose.

I know exactly what you mean, Joost. So I've added another choice in the poll to reflect your opinion.
It's amazing how Paul can make a demo sound full and polished. Sometimes he even uses his voice to add instruments! Like this...
paul mccartney for no one solo acoustic performance (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbJrXqrLtMw#)
:)

That's cool. :) Paul would've been a great traditional singer/songwriter. It would be cool if he'd make a whole album in that fashion. With just his voice and an acoustic guitar.

Definately Paul's version.I think that his voice is very beautiful in that song and I don't really like Mary's version as much.I also like how it's acoustic in Paul's version.
-
Paul's.When I listen to this one I cannot stop play it in my head for days.
-
Mary is great but no competitor to Paul...
-
I don't know who Mary Hopkins is... so I chose Paul ;D

I hope you don't take this wrong Walrus, but you have some reading to do.
Mary Hopkin was a welsh singer that Paul saw on TV and brought over to The Beatles record label, Apple Records. She had a huge hit with a song that was originally a traditional Russian dance song, rewritten as "Those Were The Days".
Read some Beatles books.
