I've been Seriously thinking about starting a band that plays only Beatles. Any ideas on what songs you would want to hear as a fan ?Thanx! ;)

Revolution,
Years ago there was a successful Broadway show called "Beatlemania." I opened at the Winter Garden Theatre on May 31, 1977 and played over 1,000 performances, closing on October 17, 1979 at the Palace Theatre. I saw it twice; early in its run and one of the last performances.
Here's the set list:
I Want To Hold Your Hand
She Loves You
Help!
Can't Buy Me Love
Day Tripper
Yesterday
Eleanor Rigby
Nowhere Man
Strawberry Fields Forever
Penny Lane
Magical Mystery Tour
Lady Madonna
Fool On The Hill
Got To Get You Into My Life
Michelle
Get Back
All You Need Is Love
Revolution
Hey Jude
I Am The Walrus
The Long And Winding Road
Let It Be
The opening night's cast:
Randy Clark rhythm guitar
P. M. Howard lead guitar
Reed Kailing bass guitar
Bobby Taylor drums
They went through several period costume changes.
There have been several revivals of the production over the years. I've listed the original run's set. It's a good start.

I saw it about '79 when it came on tour to NZ. The hall was only a third full but it was really enjoyable (and a novelty in those days).

I reackon the one gaping hole in the market is a country-Beatle band. It's untouched territory, and there's enough country twang in The Beatles repetoire to fill a good couple of sets. Ye ha!

I'd love to see a band who are doing the Cavern Club and Hamburg material. The real rocky thing.

There's some guys here in town called the Long Players who do whole albums by different groups. Bill Lloyd of Foster and Lloyd is involved.
It be cool to have a tribute band that could play a whole album through note for note. Of course, it might get maddening to play the same fourteen songs over and over.
Or for that matter, if you did a typical Beatles beatlemania era concert--only twenty minutes long but with plenty of live hired sobbing, screaming teenagers. That would be really cool to do in a small club and see if you could induce mass hysteria.

:o^ That'd be Great!!!!!!! ;D Did you know Chicago was a popular college band that could play Beatles tunes from Magical Mystery Tour because Chicago had a horn section!

(In Johnny Carson voice) I DID NOT know that. ;D
Actually when we were playing around in an acoustic combo (standup bass), we used to do a Beatles mini-set on the premise that the fab-four were orphaned by WWII and got relocated to TN-KY where they grew up as a bluegrass band. "I Want to Hold Your Hand" sings pretty good bluegrass.
Keep us posted on the band.
