I watched A Hard Day's Night last night, not seen it in awhile
-
I think it was A Hard Day's Night but I can't remember.
-
I watched Help! but that was a while ago
-
Let It Be..couple o months back. :)
-
Last one I watched was Help! It was the first time that Mum, KE and I got Dad to watch it with us... and he liked it ;D
-
I'm in the middle of getting through the "Let It Be" outtakes, which I have not seen in ages. It's on an old bootleg tape, so the audio/visual quality is pretty terrible. But still, it's interesting for diehard fans to watch... Well, maybe except the parts where Yoko is singing (wailing?). :o
-
AHDN came on TV the other day so I put it on even though I own it...Sometimes I like watching stuff that comes on TV even if it does have commercials.
-
I was just flipping through some channels and noticed they are playing Help! but I missed most of it otherwise I would have watched it again.
-
The complete Ed Sullivan Shows, if that counts. Otherwise AHDN a few weeks ago.
-
Yellow Submarine.
-
watched A Hard Days night on tv a few weeks back!
-
AHDN some 3 months ago. And George Harrison: The Quiet One, Great Britain, 2002 a month ago.

i watched Yellow Submarine 2 weeks ago, in a car! (well, actually a van. AKA, our Beast)
-
I just finished watching Help!

Rewatched AHDN for the billionth time a few days ago. :)
-
Watched Help! on Saturday as it came on TV and just happened to catch it right when it started.

Hmm, I think it was probably Magical Mystery Tour on YouTube. I have Help and AHDN in my house. I'd like to add YS to the collection, but I'm not sure if MMT will ever make it there. :)
-
I think I'm gonna pop in Help! before I go to bed tonight :)
-
Two answers if you will...I saw parts of AHDN with the daughter as she was home sick a while back. On ymown I watched Let It Be in late summer. Though I do put on The Concert For George every month or so.
-
I watched The Making of Sgt. Pepper's if that counts.
-
A Hard Day's Night :)

I am sure it was A Hard Days Night but Beatle-related, I watched the Ed Sullivan DVD's a few days ago.

OMG I know what you mean and ringo when the music started playing and he said we were the closest four guys could be. And we really loved each other. Man that made me so sad. They are so sentimental.
The last one I watched was A Hard Days Night! I LOVE how cute Ringo is in that one!
But I love when he says "NEB" in Help! So Cute! :)
-
In HMV today on a tv screen were they normally play films in the DVD section they had the main menu of the DVD of A Hard Day's Night. All I could do was watch it and hope a member of staff would select the play button

Aw! That is cute ;D
I just watched Anthology 5 & 6 with my little brother (yes, baby-sitting again) But after explaining it to him about 8 times, he still doesn't understand why the people were burning the Beatles stuff or why people made a big deal over when John said "Were more popular than Jesus" because in our home, they prolly are. (no offence to anyone) LOL ;)
-
A Hard Days Night... it was on tv which really surprised me. I love that movie! It's the best in my opinion!
-
Just finished watching Help! on TV as part of Beatles night

Just watched Yellow Submarine for only the second time. I enjoyed it more this time cos I knew what to expect, and since I'm a bit of a dork, I could even recite some of their lines. Heheh. :P
I found myself laughing but feeling bad when that weird monster comes in the sub, and John goes "he's ugly" and they all go "reeeeeeeally ugly!" Poor monster :-\ ha2ha

-
Magical Mystery Tour!
-
Yellow Submarine, I guess. The others I have seen way too many times. YS is the only one I still can stand, from time to time; I find that it is the only one in which you can discover new things, visually speaking.
-
I watched Help! lastnight to cheer myself up, cos I was in a bad mood, and I ended up laughing so hard at the George/John strangling bit that my friend thought someone else was in the room with me, and asked if he could hang out with us! ha2ha
xxx
-

-

I like this movie too. Eddie Deezen, the one that played "Richard 'Ringo' Klaus" is a real Beatles fan. He had a trivia contest on his website for a long time. After he took it down, I contacted him asking him for it again, and the answers. As it turned out he had lost it, but he was very nice in the contact I did have with him.

Well, half a Beatles film, anyway. The Magic Christian.
Silent scream, tiny face...

I just watched 5 minutes of the 2010 "documentary" "Paul McCartney is Really Dead: The Last Testament of George Harrison" on Netflix streaming. I don't know why; I just hate the whole "Paul is dead" thing. It creeps me out even though I know very well it's just a hoax. This film is beyond stupid though. They claim that in 2005 they got tapes made by George in the hospital following the stabbing that reveal the whole truth. They supposedly use these tapes in the narration but even a casual Beatles fan would know that wasn't George's voice. I read on the Internet that they claim the girl who was in the crash with Paul, "Rita" is actually none other than the person we know as Heather Mills. WTH??? She wasn't even born until '68. It might be worth watching this for a laugh if you're okay with the creepiness but for me...nah!
-
I just watched Interview With the Vampire, Beetlejuice, Serial Mom, Romeo + Juliet, Bride of Frankenstein, Nightmare Before Christmas and Puppet Master ^_^
-
I havn't watched any of the film for awhile but lst night started watching the Anthology films
-

I'm jealous ha2ha they never show any Beatles movies here, maybe I should write to the TV company thingy and demand it! ;yes
-
Help! I watched it once on my TV and then a week later on my computer. I have to say I understood what they were saying much better with my headphones on and the screen an arm's length from my face. :) Loved it! Now it's on to Magical Mystery Tour, although I think I've already seen a lot of it on YouTube.
-

I don't get carded much anymore, just for beer in the grocery store but everyone does too. I enjoy that even though I know they really don't think I'm under 21.
Awww. If that bar was still open, I bet you'd be carded there too. ;)
I used to get carded a lot; it's the Swede in me :)
That might also account for those extra cysteine disulfide bonds.

That was not my favorite scene but this was:
Your Mother Should Know-The Beatles-Magical Mystery Tour (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YlpiEPrHnBw#)
^
It was a nice ending but John almost fell going down the stairs. :)
I always liked this...

That's just part of the charm. ;)
The Fool on the Hill
I do too. I actually liked the whole movie, in spite of some of the negative things I've read about it. I don't think it would help win a non-fan over but it was fun. I actually saw shades of Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory in it so maybe it managed to impressed Mel Stuart.
-

It's a fun movie and it was nice to see The Beatles in a more candid way than we had seen them in film before.

I'm sure he was influenced by it.
I like this part too...

There were a lot of clues in Blue Jay Way. ;D

^^
When they are all piling into the tent it reminds me of the children's story "The Mitten". I love they way they all jump up and clap like they've just seen the most normal, mainstream performance.
There were a lot of clues in Blue Jay Way.
Oh, don't get me started on that! I'll start reading about it and freak myself out again. :o

I hope I'm not laughed at too much, but I always liked how Sergio Mendes & Brasil '66 covered The Fool On The Hill. A little bossa nova here...

I won't laugh at you. ;) I remember hearing this a time or two when I had XM radio. I like how they snuck Paul's face into that first video. He really did look like a fool.
-
;)
They covered a few Beatles songs but they did this one the nicest. Lani Hall and Karen Philipp's voices sounded so sweet.
The Fool...

I've read that Paul liked how Sergio Mendes & Brasil '66 did his song too.

Oh my God...I know a guy who looks EXACTLY like Paul in this picture :o only he has blonde hair and its a bit longer and he has blue eyes. Like a blue eyed, blonde Paul XD
-
I watched the Concert for George last night. What a nice tribute. I was so impressed with Dhani. It must have been very tough emotionally for him to do this on the first anniversary of his dad's death. He played his heart out and looked so tired at the end. The way he leaned into Eric Clapton when Eric hugged him during the closing number was very touching.

I watched Anthology when it was aired in 1996 but this set is so much more. Still, I was just amazed when I saw it on TV. When I was your age (back when dinosaurs roamed the earth) seeing video of The Beatles was a pretty rare treat and certainly not on-demand like today, with YouTube and DVDs. I remember having a hard time sleeping those nights after watching Anthology. LOL

My mom also saw them when they were on in 1996!That was so funny about what you said about how when you were my age it was when dinosaurs roamed the earth ha2ha I understand how I'm lucky being able to see Beatles things on YouTube and on DVD - though I'd much rather be able to enjoy it as much as you did when there wasn't any of those things to watch it on,I would have loved to get excited about seeing the Anthology when it first aired! :)

Kelley, I read the first 100 pages so far and it's pretty good. Besides the Beatles stuff, I liked reading about how British radio and TV was so different from American radio and TV back in the day.

Well I posted this in the wrong thread. I meant to post it in the what was the last beatles item you bought thread.....

I Wanna Hold Your Hand (1978) directed by Robert Zemeckus. Haven't seen that movie in some years. Made me smile. :)
I liked that one a lot; it was cute! And all the Beatles songs were, of course, fab.

Good Ol' Freda. A really nice documentary. It had a good balance of her, the Beatles, and the era. Very nice

Watching Anthology episode 2 while ironing. Love the scene where they're playing She Loves You live and they cut to the British bobbie nodding his head in time.

It was Help! I had watched it many, many times before but I made a friend of mine see it ... and he loved it !

It is wonderful. And we're lucky we can watch it whenever we want. Imagine those kids back in '64 who saw them on the big screen, but only for as many times as they could manage before it left the theater. I'm sure they probably missed a lot of the funny dialog because they couldn't hear over the screaming. I think I feel a watch coming on...!
